Boardwalk Fantasies

I wish I could give you a panoramic view but here it is in pieces, although not all in order. They are all in the same area, though.
Local Power Plant
This is an old power plant, and I was told by one of our local leaders that, maybe, as the plant gets too much older and outdated, it could be moved upstream. There is a park beyond and behind the plant which has an antique Dentzel carousel as an attraction. Without the power plant being there, it could be connected by a riverside boardwalk to a downtown old era-style business district along the waterfront. I can also see a restaurant located along there with a nice view of the dam.
Main Firestation
Now this is a relatively new structure but it has a lot of deadspace near the river that could allow a boardwalk right past it.
bridge
Over on the other side of the bridge there's a warehouse. That's a problem. If the warehouse could be relocated, there could be a continuation of the boardwalk right into the riverside-facing walkable business district along the boardwalk.
old houses
more old houses
There are 3 old dilapitated but occupied homes between the power plant and the firestation. Either these could be revitalized or maybe remain but with the boardwalk along the backs of their homes on the riverfront.

More pictures coming......

My Dream Business

Green Hill Supply Company

Okay, Maybe I'm dreaming but this is the building I've been looking at when considering a place to open a business. I want to supply my community with things that I've found hard to find locally. These things include grain mills, grain, food dehydrators, soap and candlemaking supplies, organic gardening supplies, heirloom seeds, compost bins, solar panel sales, wind generators, new and used books on gardening, homesteading, renewable energy, etc., canning supplies, woodstoves, solar ovens, solar flashlights & radios, rechargeable battery paks, etc. I would also like to carry food grown by local producers.

Can't you just picture this place refurbished with flower boxes under the top windows and vegetable and flower carts out in front on the sidewalk?

Anybody have any money?
