First Canning Job
These dill pickles are my first canning job. Almost all ingredients are locally grown. I didn't have enough juice to fill to the top to the quarter inch. Wonder if that is ok? I'm afraid to eat them. I don't trust myself, and I may give myself botulism or something.

I think that was cute about how you don't trust your own canned pickles! lol I am the same way with the vegetables I grow :) I just started my blog and I havent even posted anything yet, but soon enough I will take pics and post my first entry :) I don't know much about canning but the pickles look cool hehe Good Luck :)

My daughter ended up trusting me--she ate some and they were okay! lol I warned her!
